About Me

I'm Nicholas Brana, a cybersecurity student at Fordham University and the current President of the Fordham Cybersecurity Club. I'm passionate about offensive security, capture-the-flag competitions, and building tools that make security work more efficient.

What I Do

I compete regularly in CTF competitions, most recently placing in the 95th percentile nationally in the National Cyber League (NCL) Spring 2025 Individual Game. My strongest areas are log analysis, cryptography, web exploitation, and OSINT.

As club president, I organize hands-on workshops, coordinate our competitive CTF team, and bring in guest speakers from the industry. My goal is to create an environment where students learn by doing — getting hands dirty with tools like Wireshark, Metasploit, and Nmap in controlled settings.

Interests

Beyond security, I enjoy tinkering with Linux (a former distro-hopper who's finally settled down), building websites, and writing about the things I learn along the way. This site is built with Astro and serves as both a personal blog and a place to document my projects.
