Static Site Generators and Choice

Rebuilding My Website

I have gone through several cycles of rebuilding my website. I have tried out several different web frameworks and static site generators, but I was not satisfied with them. I kept switching when what was actually necessary was just picking one and sticking with it. I finally decided on Hugo and focused on learning the extent of its functionality and how to make it work for me.

The Trap of Choices

This is reminiscent of my own past practice of distro-hopping when I first switched to Linux. There are countless distributions, and when you are first switching or beginning a new project, it can be difficult to know which distribution, web framework, or language to choose. The best solution, at least for me, is to do minimal research on the options, pick something that I know will function, and make it work for my needs.
